Dow Jones Industrials (1929-1932 vs. 2007-Current)

I’ve seen some similar charts to this that track the current bear market (I thought I would create my own).  I use monthly data so the volatility on this chart is less then with a daily chart.  Dividends are not included.

  1. Another insightful and interesting chart Matt. Had not seen something like this before and had no idea we were pretty much tracking with the pre-depression market. I wonder how inflation, interest rates and unemployment track as well? Good stuff. Keep up the good work.
